Reading Counts

Students are required to take book tests in the Reading Counts program for grades in their English and Reading classes. Click on the button below to view a list of the book test deadlines. In order to receive credit, students must make a 70 or above. If they fail, they are allowed to retest one time, but they must wait until the following day. Their grades are based on the number of points accumulated, not their scores on their tests.. Students are expected to read and test on books in their lexile range and may not receive credit for tests over books that are significantly below that range. They may not receive credit for books that are targeted for elementary students, especially those with only one or two points, which are usually picture books. Click on the buttons below to find lists of book titles. Quizzes are added regularly, so new books may not be listed.
