Welcome to the Sweeny High School Counseling Office. Our staff is
dedicated to student success and wants to help each student discover their
potential.
Our counselors are
available to assist students with their concerns about high school
graduation, career planning, college placement, educational
planning, testing, social, and academic needs. Students may
stop by the Counseling Office before school, between classes, during
non-instructional time, or after school to see a counselor. If
the counselor is unavailable, students can request that a counselor
send for them with the secretary.
There are two high
school counselors and a college counselor available for advisement.
The college counselor is at the high school every Monday and
Thursday. He administers the Dual Credit Program for juniors
and seniors eligible for concurrent enrollment with Brazosport
College. He also assists students with post-secondary
educational and vocational planning.
